I was wondering if I could find out more about the PHP Author Performance Levels. Basically:
1. How many are there?
2. What is the criteria for completing each level?
Right now I can see what is required for completing the next available level. But I would like to know what future levels require. I could not find any documentation on this and figure it would be good to put in the FAQ. If not, this forum thread can always be referenced if anyone asks in the future or searches via a search engine.
This is what I have found thus far:
Apprentice PHP author (1 mission)
1. Learn the rules for contributing new packages
Official PHP author (6 missions)
1. Publish PHP packages (1)
2. Set the default package user tracking mode
3. Provide a serious picture
4. Establish class authorship with Google (optional)
5. Link your Facebook account (optional)
6. Link your Twitter (optional)
Growing PHP author (2 missions)
1. Publish PHP packages (3)
2. Make your packages be downloaded by 500 users

Good questions. In theory the number of levels are unlimited. For now we implemented 7 levels but we want to implement more after we launch the marketplace that will help developers to sell their own products and services to other developers.
Then not only you can "play" for fun but also participate to generate revenue from your own development work.
Currently the next levels have higher requirements for missions so it becomes more challenging.
In general keep sending and updating great packages, as well package blog posts. Stay tuned for the PHP Development Master Award ranking due to be announced by email.
Do you have any improvement suggestions to make the whole experience better for you?

As far as Author Performance Levels goes I would like to see all of the levels currently available for me to reach and their criteria for achieving. It would help motivate myself, and I am sure others, to try to reach those levels.

The performance levels are the levels that appear as a badge on the pages of each package.
Usually you can execute certain missions to move on in the current level. Then you can move on to the next level when you complete all the missions of the current level.
If you go to your author page, you can find a link to the mission progress status pages. In that page you can see the performance level you are now and how many missions remain to move on to the next level.
